Jesus taught His disciples to pray. Specifically He taught us to say, “Lead us not
into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.”(Matthew 6:13) His teaching came from experience. The Word of God states that He also set the
example. “Because he himself suffered
when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.”(Hebrews
2:18)
Jesus is the believer’s help. He has also given the Holy Spirit to further
empower the Saints of God to say no to ungodliness and worldly lusts. We can live godly and holy lives as God, the
Father, has called us to. “Be holy as I am holy!”(Leviticus 19:2)
Challenge: Believers, God
has given us the help to live according to His word. Jesus stated, “Watch and pray that you will
not fall into temptation.”(Mark 14:38)
Don’t give up on living godly, but give any struggle over to God! Amen!
