"The Lord Added!"(Acts 2:47)

Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”(Acts 2:47)

School has many subjects.  Math is one of those being taught from early childhood.  One is taught to count starting with the 1, 2, 3, etc.  Later one is taught to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.  Addition is when two numbers come together for growth.

The early believers were following Christ Jesus and experienced growth.  God was adding to the number of believers every day.  God had given them power to be His witnesses about His Son.  The result of obedience to this call to witness was favor and addition in the Kingdom of God with others being saved.  Favor is giving kind acts to others.  This was indeed a time of praise toward God as the Holy Spirit manifested in power.

Challenge:  Saints of God, let us keep on praying and seeking God until others are being added to the Kingdom.  This is His will for no one to perish.  Praise Him in advance!  Amen.

"In That Place!"John 10:42

There are places in our lives.  There are those places that frequently or seldom get a visit.  Yet there are places that we long to go and see with our very eyes.  A place is a destination or simply just being.

Believing is a place of trust in God and His only Son.  It is accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord of one's life.  This acceptance came after being told of God's great love and plan for eternal life.  Salvation is a place for all who believe.  Jesus is salvation.  It is not for any one specific but to all people.

"And in that place many believed in Jesus!"(John 10:42)

Challenge: Believers, you have a place to offer others that is for all eternity!  Wherever you are living, speaking, and breathing then share the salvation message to everyone!  Amen!

"At Your House!"(Luke 19:5)

It is great when family and/or friends visits.  You get prepared by cleaning the common areas like the kitchen, living room, and bathroom.  You stock the refrigerator and cabinets with essentials like milk, bread, etc.  You make preparations for them to have a good visit.  You want them to have a great time.

Believers in Christ Jesus are preparing for the ultimate visit.  Jesus will return and gather the believers together.  The Holy Spirit is making preparations in their hearts.  Their heart will be pure and without spot or wrinkle.  Jesus told a similar believer to get ready for his visit.

“When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately.  I must stay at your house today.”(Luke 19:5)

Challenge:  Believer, is your house ready?  Can you respond like Zacchaeus?  He had a heart to see Jesus and practice a life of repentance toward a clean heart.

"For Each Tree!"(Luke 6:44-45)

Oranges are juicy and can have a sweet flavor.  Bananas are yellow and taste good with ice cream. Apples have different color red, green, and yellow.  Grapes are good in any form either juice or raisins.  Pineapples are good when eaten alone or with other foods.  These fruit grown on trees or a vine are known by their different characteristics.

Jesus said, “ For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush.”(Luke 6:44)  He referred to trees and their characteristics.  He made a great point.  Trees and their fruit have certain characteristics and so do people.

“The good man out of the good[aa]treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from [ab]that which fills his heart.”(Luke 6:45)

People can be good or evil.  Their actions are their fruit.  The heart is where the seeds are planted, watered, and are grown.  Change the mind and the heart then the fruit.  God authors this change and leads into repentance.

Challenge: Saints, the heart needs God’s word to plant righteous seeds, water them, and grow into holy fruit.  God has given the Holy Spirit as the helper in this process toward fruit that is sweet and tastes good to the soul.
