Acts 12:24(NIV)
24 But the word
of God continued to
spread and flourish.
An appropriate word for 2015 is “flourish.” An earlier post covered the meaning of
thriving or growing well. God’s plan is
to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ to flourish.
It is to spread from land to land.
It is to move from heart to heart.
God is glorified and magnified when sinners repent and turn toward
Him. More people are to forsake and cast
away false gods to worship the only God by accepting His Son, Jesus as
Savior. The will of God is for people of
all nations, languages, and tribes to believe in the one He sent, Jesus.
This belief and/or faith comes by hearing the word of
God. They hear from a preacher. The preacher is sent by God to deliver and
spread His word. Others are trained in
the Gospel message. The Word of God
spreads and flourishes.
Challenge: Stand firm
in your faith and allow God to develop a strategy to spread and flourish His
Word through you. Amen!
