23 “It’s all right,” he said. “Don’t be
afraid. Your God, the God of your father, has given you treasure in your sacks; I
received your silver.” Then he brought Simeon out to them.”(Genesis 43:23)
God has given believers’
treasures. He has placed the Gospel message in our hearts to distribute
to others. He intends for us to be blessing and give the truth freely.
The Holy Bible also states, "For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be
also."(Matthew 6:21) Believers in Christ Jesus treasure everything
of the Lord and heaven. We are told to lay up treasures in heaven where
no harm comes to them. Treasures can be thought of as what is important.
Here is a short list of a Believers' treasure:
- Salvation
- Freedom
from sin and bondage
- Winning
other people to Christ Jesus
- Help
others in need with resources
- Love
and care of others (family, friends, enemies) especially with prayer.
This is not a conclusive list. Please make your own to
examine your thoughts on treasure.
Challenge: Believers, your treasures are grounded in
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us share according to the measure of
faith that has been given. It is for the Father's glory! Praise
Him! Amen.
