"As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right."(1 Samuel 12:23)
The prophet Samuel considered it a sin to not pray for God's people. Believers in Jesus Christ are called to pray especially for others. Intercession is to be a part of the believers DNA, since Jesus is the Chief Intercessor. Also, the Holy Spirit intercedes within us. This is according to God's will. We have help from the Lord. No excuses will be excepted on the great day. Jesus response, "Depart from me..." or "Well done.."
The intercessory prayers of us saints is to be offered up for all people. The saints, enemies, kings, and others are included. Let us not shrink back in faith, but keep on asking, seeking, and knocking. We know the God who answers! Amen!
Challenge: "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."(1 Timothy 2:1-4)
