“I urge, then,
first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all
people—(1 Timothy 2:1)
-
Faith pleases God. He commends faith and rewards it. Prayer is an
expression of this faith. Specifically
praying for others also known as intercession.
Who should receive prayer?
o Those
in authority such as kings (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
o Enemies
(Matthew 5:44)
o Family
especially God’s (Ephesians 6:18)
o Everyone
(Philippians 4:6)
The book of Hebrews commends the ancients on their faith. They pleased God and even one did not taste
death. They received answered prayers
and promises were fulfilled.
Challenge: Continue
to seek ways to please the Lord! Prayer is
at the top of the list! Amen!
“And without
faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must
believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
(Hebrews 1:6)
